What is Tarot?

Tarot CardsThe Tarot can be used to refer to the 78 pictorial images individually or to the deck as a whole.  Comprised of 22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana cards the Tarot has a rich history which is commonly believed to have started in Italy.  The Major Arcana cards represent major life lessons we must learn and the Minor Arcana cards represent the daily activities each of us must face.  The Tarot can be used as a meditative tool or as one for divination.   It must be noted that the same card will not always indicate or represent the same idea, action or outcome.  No one card is a great card just as no one card is a bad card.  The Tarot simply is a tool to help understand what is going on beneath the surface of events.
