Strength – VIII

Strength
Strength does not necessarily mean an outer show of force. Inner Strength is often all that is needed. Everyone has moments in life that have helped them grow and Strength symbolizes that learning process. Leos are associated with Strength because there is nothing that requires more courage than to put our hand into the lion’s mouth. This card indicates the confidence to face our fears.
Upright: Strength shows that it is possible to show compassion to anyone. Love will find a way through the darkest space. All that is needed is to remain calm and collected. Strength represents the inner courage to do what needs to be done. Be the change that others seek; and, in doing so, the process will change us. By developing our own Strength in the face of overwhelming odds and fear, we are utilizing the inner fortitude we each possess to the highest benefit we can embody. Strength is not about having bravado or a strong face. Strength simply says, “This is who I am and I am not afraid” even though the combined armies of Ghengis Khan are marching toward the door, Strength still rides out alone to meet them. As we free ourselves from the fears that have crippled us, we become freer to do even more with our lives!
Reversed: Strength reversed is leaving us out in the cold. This card indicates that our fears are winning. Chaos reigns due to lack of control. This card can symbolize letting our emotions lead our actions. It is time to face fears, this cannot go on. “Grow or go.” We are still able to rein in our fears as long as we are collected. We are paying too much attention to the material world and we lack the courage needed to face problems as a result. Take care to remain calm so that control of the situation can resume. Do not let the fear rule. Even The Cowardly Lion tamed his own fears! We can too! Every lion is just a tiny kitten at heart!
