Ace of Cups

The Ace of Cups is a powerful card.  It symbolizes the outpouring of joy and contentment in our lives.  This card signifies the emotional awareness we all have within us.  This awareness is growing and going forth.  The Ace of Cups can indicate a broadening of psychic development.

Upright:  The Ace of Cups shows that there is the potential for love in everyone.  The time is now for a new relationship.  The feelings which were previously unknown are now in the forefront.  Joyous things are coming; and they might include growing the family!  What is more radiant than the birth of a child?   Anything emotional or spiritual will be more greatly understood and the knowledge will be used for the benefit of all involved.  We are delving deeper into our emotions because that is what this card signifies.  The Ace of Cups represents everything coming up roses and being prosperous for all!

Reversed:  Reversed, the Ace of Cups indicates protecting our emotions and becoming closed off from new possibilities.  This card signifies being hesitant to take risks with relationships and a desire to remain invulnerable to love.  If the Ace of Cups comes up reversed for a budding romance, it means that the relationship will take some time to get going.  The emotional sharing of ourselves that appears when the Ace of Cups is upright is now turned inward and we are concerned with only our own welfare.  This card can represent the desire for something new to occur in a relationship but this desire will not materialize while the Ace of Cups is reversed.  This card will right itself when we are ready to take risks with our relationships and open ourselves to love again.
