Two of Cups

The Two of Cups clearly shows that partnerships are gathering momentum.  This card is all about sharing what is being felt for the betterment of all involved.  Good and lasting friendships are developing when the Two of Cups appears.  Everything and everyone involved is balanced and connected to the common goal.

Upright:  The Two of Cups represents free and willful sharing of feelings for the greater good of the relationship.  This is the best of the best as far as relationships are concerned.  The Two of Cups indicates cooperation and sharing with one another.  This card emphasizes the harmony and thoughtfulness in every relationship.  The adage that “two heads are better than one” is definitely true as represented by the bonds of sharing that are formed by the Two of Cups.  Sometimes, the Two of Cups can appear to symbolize that the relationship we are in will lead to engagement or to marriage. No matter what stage the relationship is presently in, this card represents taking the relationship to the next highest level!

Reversed:  Reversed the Two of Cups still has the desire to connect but has lost the focus necessary to do this.  Misunderstandings can occur with those involved.  Emotions can become out of control if we are not careful to keep them within our grasp.  Try not to become jealous or envious of each other as this will only widen the divide; instead focus on communicating what is being felt and take the time to listen to what is being expressed.  We have to be willing to bridge the gap within the relationship.  Only once this has happened, says the Two of Cups, will commitment to the shared goal resume.  Go beyond our fears and misconceptions to gain a fresh attitude on the current situation.  Coming together to resolve the issues which separate will help all involved to again have sight of the prize!
