Seven of Pentacles

The Seven of Pentacles signifies that the hard work will pay off.  Some things still need to be tended in order to reap the full reward for the work and effort involved.  We are not wasting time in the current endeavors; they will pay off in the long run.  The Seven of Pentacles does not indicate wealth, however, only solid accomplishments and assessment.

Upright:  The Seven of Pentacles is a labor-intensive card.  The farmer is hard at work planting his crops and tending his field.  He can see down the road to the end result.  The desired outcome, in this case being able to feed his family on a bountiful harvest is what keeps this farmer going.  The investment made will have a good return.  We will make a good profit for the time and work expended.  Good solid accomplishments in investments and workplace and satisfactory rewards are represented by the Seven of Pentacles.  A few finishing touches will be needed to complete the project.  Good, dependable work and satisfaction are guaranteed says the Seven of Pentacles.  Everything is a labor of love as is clearly shown by this card.  All the long-term investments are completed successfully because we love engaging in these activities not because they are duties.

Reversed:  The Seven of Pentacles represents that the hard work and a good amount of labor have resulted in a smaller profit margin or none at all.  This card signifies crop failure due to bad weather conditions or that the investment did not pay off because of unfavorable economic times. If the Seven of Pentacles comes up reversed when we have asked about a possible future investment or venture, the result is plain to see.  Money is slipping away and it would be wise to wait for something else or a different time to take this plunge.  Poor speculation is indicated when the Seven of Pentacles is reversed.   Think extra carefully about parting with money when the card appears in this position as it is warning us of a payoff not occurring as we hoped.  The bonus we had hoped for was not given due to circumstances beyond our control.  If we are wise and careful with our money the Seven of Pentacles will right itself again.
