Ten of Swords

Ten of Swords

Ten of Swords

The Ten of Swords represents the end of a cycle.  This card shows that we have let strife and hard times best us.  The Ten of Swords signifies having a lack of will and fortitude because of life’s hard knocks.  We are pierced.

Upright:  The Ten of Swords indicates that the end of a lifecycle is at hand.  The old ways are past and new ways are coming forward.  Divorce and the loss of a job are indicated by this card.  All debts are paid and we have a clean slate with which to continue onward.  Things should be allowed to reach their natural conclusions.  Do not try to force the issue for the results could lead to greater misfortune than what is shown with the Ten of Swords.  This card signifies that action shapes the course of a lifestyle.  Some experiences are worth having had so that we might learn from them and grow no matter how painful they may have been.  Look forward toward the next cycle.

Reversed:  The cycle of change and growth is done.  There is a light at the end of the tunnel and the end is within reach.  Any loss that was experienced has passed now and we are ready to move forward.  The feelings and personal associations with the event are gone.  New beginnings and a positive cycle will commence.  Release from an arduous struggle is shown when the Ten of Swords is reversed.  This card can appear for those who have been in rehab and are ready to begin again fresh.  Things can only get better now that we have new energy and enthusiasm on our side.  We have faced many obstacles and have overcome them all!  We can now shake off the past trauma and begin scouting new horizons.  Bon Voyage!
