Two of Swords

Two of Swords

Two of Swords

The Two of Swords indicates being confused about which course of action to take.  This card shows a need for guidance and direction.  Should we take this path or that one?  It is hard to say because the input we rely on is not present.

Upright:  The Two of Swords is balanced, but just barely.  This card represents closing ourselves off from the distractions and just thinking about the next step.  It is likely that when the Two of Swords appears, making a move is the last thing we want to do.  Confusion abounds and there is no stable center available to anchor ourselves.  We are waiting for a change to come to us.  This card can sometimes come up to represent a stalemate, halted negotiations or not having the complete picture.  Perhaps it is the best course of action just to reflect on our options silently; as is shown by the Two of Swords.  Not every choice we have to make is a clear cut winner or loser for us.  Some choices, as the Two of Swords represents, are a compromise and the decision is up to us to sort out.

Reversed:  The Two of Swords reversed shows that a decision has been made.  The confidence that was lacking when this card was upright is present in spades now.  Where there was inaction before, this card shows action and a fast pace!  Forward movement is assured and things will happen.  The choice that was made is the right choice for us because we have listened to our inner wisdom and prevailed by not relying on solely on objectivity to decide.  Be wary of gossiping because the waters are rocky.  Navigate these waters skillfully by sharing our course of action only with the right people, says the Two of Swords.  This is the path that has been chosen and it will lead toward the goal if we simply just follow it through!
