King of Wands

Upright:  The King of Wands loves to see things grow.  He is represented by Aries who initiates development and change.  This is the card of confidence and power.  The King of Wands tells us that our outlook and attitude are the most important things we can use to help us accomplish our goals.  As long as we have a positive outlook, he says, we can reach for the stars!  The King of Wands loves life, growth and the outdoors as well.  This is a person who gives great advice and enjoys helping others see their own potential.  The King of Wands is a true mentor with excellent leadership skills.  This is someone who no longer chases opportunities; he creates them and guides them with his own passionate desire.  He takes the passion we have and he modifies it for the use of the group at large to great success!

Reversed:  The King of Wands still has the power, but he lacks the self-assurance to use it.  He may be moody and see the negative in everything.  The King of Wands appears aloof and detached.  This card reversed is unfocused and lacks the drive that is associated with Aries and the element of fire.  The King of Wands is still the kind caring person who can advise us.  He will still use our passion; but as he is reversed, it may not be for the good of everyone involved.  The fire is out of control now and the King of Wands lacks the will and confidence in himself to stop it from spreading.  All he needs is encouragement to come out of his slump.
