Seven of Wands

The Seven of Wands represents standing up for what we believe in.  This is the card of moral strength and fortitude.  We have the courage to stand for what we value.  The high ground is not always the popular place to be.

Upright:  The Seven of Wands indicates having the willpower to withstand the onslaught.  Competition is fierce but when we have the high ground we can see everything.  From this vantage point, we can work though any sort of adversity or pressure.  We have the stamina to fight for what we believe in.  This card symbolizes being protective of ideals and beliefs.  It is not always easy, but it is worthy of respect.  The Seven of Wands reminds us that just because the opposition is larger, it does not mean that they are right.  Be firm and do not waiver; all it will take is a reasoned discussion.

Reversed:  The Seven of Wands reversed symbolizes that the storm has passed by.  The beliefs that we stood for have been recognized.  This card indicates that the urgency has passed and we are free to progress at the pace that benefits us best.  The emotional stress felt as indicated by the Seven of Wands upright will pass.  The fear that we felt from defending our position alone will leave now and we can rest from the battle.  The completion may not have been as fierce as we thought it would be or we may have a legal case we were involved in.  Things will improve as they were meant to.   This is a victory and we are free to proceed toward our goal at our own pace.
